Out of the Box
1. Remove the Culla Maxx from its carry bag. Decide which door you want facing outwards based on your tent's footprint dimensions. Green Door: Narrower side. Red Door: Wider side.
2. Face the chosen door’s arrow towards your chest and walk into the tent with the Culla. Place the wrapped Culla upright in the center of the tent with the hub facing the ceiling. Remove the compression straps while holding the hub in one hand, letting the legs fall outward.
3. Extend each leg to the tent's corners, ensuring they lock into place.

The Hub System
4. Reach inside the tent through the door. Hold the two plastic rings of the cord in one hand and the hub system’s base in the other.
5 & 6 Push the hub system upwards while pulling the cords until it snaps into place.
If the hub doesn’t open evenly, guide it outward with your hands before trying again.

Secure and Adjust
7. Tuck the pull cord up and out of the tent, securing it with the net’s cinch strap.
8. Place the cinch cord into the roof pocket for safety.
9. Brace all vents to ensure proper airflow.
Warning! Always secure any hanging cords safely away to avoid choking hazard

CARE & MAINTENANCE TIPS
🧼 Cleaning Your Culla Maxx
Your Culla Maxx is designed to provide insulated comfort and temperature control, ensuring a cozy sleep environment wherever you camp. To keep it in top condition, proper care is essential. Follow these steps to clean, store, and maintain your Culla Maxx so it lasts for years of adventure.
1. Shake Off Dirt & Debris
- Before packing, shake out any dirt, dust, or leaves.
- Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any stubborn debris.
2. Spot Clean Only - No Washing Machines!
- Use a damp cloth, lukewarm water, and mild soap (no harsh detergents).
- Gently wipe down dirty areas on both the interior and exterior.
- Avoid excessive moisture, as the insulation works best when dry.
3. Air Dry Completely
- Set up your Culla fully open in a well-ventilated area.
- Let it dry completely before packing to prevent mold and odors.
- Never use a dryer, hairdryer, or direct heat source to speed up drying.
🌡️ Maintaining Insulation
Learn how to care for your insulation and protect the waterproof floor of your Culla Maxx to keep it in perfect condition
1. Keep It Dry
- The insulation works best when dry—moisture buildup can reduce efficiency.
- If the tent becomes damp, air it out as soon as possible.
2. Refresh Insulation if Needed
- If the insulation feels compressed over time, allow it to fully expand by leaving the Culla open for a few hours before use.
⛺ Storing Your Culla Maxx Properly
Discover the best way to pack, store, and protect your Culla Maxx from mold, mildew, and fabric damage.
1. Always Store It Dry
- A damp Culla = trapped odors and potential mold.
- If you must pack it damp, open it to air dry as soon as possible.
2. Fold It Gently – No Overpacking
- The pop-up frame makes setup easy, but forcing it into a tight space can warp the structure.
- Follow the proper folding technique (as shown in the instructions) to keep the frame in good shape.
3. Store in a Cool, Dry Place
- Keep it out of direct sunlight when stored long-term to prevent material degradation.
- A closet, garage, or gear storage area works best—avoid humid basements or attics.
🚨 Avoiding Common Culla Maxx Care Mistakes
❌ Never machine wash or submerge the Culla Maxx in water.
❌ Don’t store it damp or tightly compressed for long periods.
❌ Avoid rough handling that could damage the pop-up frame.
❌ Keep away from direct flames or heat sources.
By following these simple care tips, your Culla Maxx Pop-Up will keep providing warm, insulated comfort for all your camping trips! 🏕️😴

SAFETY GUIDELINES
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As we've covered care instruction, safety and setup above we will focus here on the why questions on design elements and various other topics we have encountered.
Can my Culla Maxx be used on its own?
No, the Culla Maxx is not a standalone tent—it’s an insulated inner tent designed to be used inside a tent, van, or other covered structure. While it helps regulate temperature, it is not waterproof or windproof on its own, so it needs an outer shelter for full protection.
Why use vents if it’s for insulation?
Good question! While the Culla traps heat in cold weather and keeps it cool in warm conditions, ventilation is still essential to prevent condensation buildup. The strategically placed vents allow moisture to escape while still maintaining thermal efficiency.
Does the Culla Maxx block sound?
The Culla Maxx slightly reduces decibel levels, helping dampen outside noise. However, it is not designed for full soundproofing. To completely block sound, you would need specialized materials with mass-loaded barriers, which are not practical for a camping tent.
Can I use the Culla Maxx inside my van or RV?
Absolutely! The Culla Maxx works great inside vans, RVs, or even indoors to create a cozy, insulated sleeping space. Just make sure you have proper airflow when using it in an enclosed area.
Does the Culla Maxx help in hot weather too?
Yes! While it’s designed for insulation in cold weather, the breathable materials also help regulate heat in warmer climates by blocking direct sunlight and maintaining a stable internal temperature. Pair it with good airflow or AC for the best results.
