Overview

CRUA is the world’s leading insulated tent manufacturer. Due to recent expansion, CRUA is looking for a Financial Controller within our HQ in Tralee, Kerry facility.

Are you a qualified accountant with industry experience? As Financial Controller, you’ll have the ability to be hands on and strategic and interested in growing the business. You’ll support the team in Ireland and in the USA with financial input in all areas. You will have responsibility for all financial day to day matters, reporting, (internal and external) and regulatory,( tax compliance).

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of annual accounts and monthly management accounts
  • Processing payroll
  • Reconciliation of cash books
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Journal entries, prepayments and accruals
  • Maintenance of Fixed Assets registers
  • Oversee debtors and creditors to include dealing with queries, debtor & creditor reconciliations, processing of creditor payments and debt collection
  • Monitoring of PO system from sign off to matching of delivery dockets and invoices
  • Manage and administer statutory returns – VAT, PAYE, RCT, and CIS
  • Oversee the annual operating budget of the group
  • Provide support to the C-Suite in financial forecasting and planning
  • Ad hoc general accounting tasks as and when required and any other tasks deemed necessary

Key Tasks

  • Setup and Monitor Budgets and Cost Centers, review and analysis of costs across the business to ensure the most cost-effective processes are in place
  • Compare all shipping options for the best possible price and shipping time before selecting a courier.Manage the work allocation and relationships with the current external finance team
  • Take on the current monthly management reports, identifying improvements to the same
  • Implementation and monitoring of financial policies and procedures
  • Monitor and control cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for the company
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial assets
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors and other financial institutions
