Crua's DuraBreathe™ microfiber-dense fabric (which boasts an R-value of 9) resists the conductive flow of heat, and while the lining may be super thin, it does a fantastic job of keeping the heat generated by you and your camping companions inside your tent. That's 19 times better than the insulation offered by conventional tents and 150% better than a deluxe camping mattress. Plus, the breathable polycotton used to make the tent's inner lining and flysheet as well as the waterproof TPU laminate on the flysheet's underside, means you don't have to worry about condensation turning your tent into a mini tropical rain forest.

Illuminous guy lines that won’t trip you up.

We've all done it. Venture from your tent in the dead of night only to forget about the guy lines; it's not pretty. To avoid you becoming yet another casualty of a nasty trip and fall camping incident, we made sure our guy lines are luminous and visible in the dark. Now, instead of being a potential health hazard, our guy lines help to guide you safely around the tent.

The way we see it, if you're going to add windows to a tent, the smart money's on a material that isn't adversely affected by low temperatures. While some competitors use a cheap PVC that's likely to crack in sub-zero conditions, we opted for a superior PVC trialed in below freezing temps. We've struggled with substandard tent poles in the past, so we were determined that Crua poles would be different. Welcome to no more dealing with second-rate tent poles that buckle under the slightest pressure. Only a rugged and durable framework able to withstand the most demanding conditions would do. Six failed attempts later, we finally found a supplier who got it. You can rest assured that our one-inch, military-grade, reinforced steel poles can handle anything Mother Nature might throw at them.

A cutting-edge ventilation system to dramatically reduce condensation.

We considered multiple must-have features when selecting materials for our Crua tents, including breath-ability. But breath-ability alone won't stop condensation forming on the inner lining of your tent and drip, drip, dripping on you and your gear. Not quite what you have in mind when you think, "make it rain." So, we took our tent design to the next level with a ventilation system proven to dramatically reduce in-tent condensation during various hardcore field tests.
