Join Adirondack Lakes & Trails Outfitters for a guided pack boat tour on the historic Seven Carries route in the St Regis Canoe Area and discover why the pack boat is the boat of choice for exploring Adirondack Waterways.
Pack boats are light-weight and user-friendly, and offer the perfect craft for day-tripping in the backcountry when traversing the land means carrying your boat from pond to pond. Pack boats have also become increasingly popular in recent years due to advances in boat-building technology which have created an efficient on-water experience you are sure to never forget.

ITINERARY:
Seven Carries Route - Paddlers will expect to spend the majority of the day on the water and return to the Paul Smith Campus in the afternoon.

Little Clear Pond > St Reigs Pond > Green Pond > Little Long Pond > Bear Pond > Bog Pond > Upper St Regis > Spitfire > Lower St Regis Lake

Distance: 8 miles

Trip leaves Paul Smith College Campus at 8:30am Participants should expect between 5-6 hours of paddling at a moderate pace.

Minimum number of participants: 4 people

Gliding across the surface of a calm mountain pond in a kayak is the best way to start your day.
Energise the last of your weekend with the morning sounds of the forest around you as you
move across the western flow of Lower St Regis Lake. This 3-mile kayak tour is suitable for all
abilities and offers quiet water paddling in a protected section of the Lake.

ITINERARY:
Put-in on Lower Saint Regis on Keeses Mill Road at the Black Pond parking area. Paddle East
through the Lower western flow of Lower Saint Regis and take-out at Paul Smiths College campus.
Distance: 3 miles
Trip leaves Paul Smith College Campus at 9 am
Participants should expect approximately 2 hours of paddling at a leisurely pace.

In collaboration with Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters in Saranac Lake, your trip
will include:
Kayak, paddle, personal flotation device, carry yoke, transportation, and a guide.
