Alexander Morris

Northern Ireland

Alex had a love for the outdoors that he turned into a passion and career in landscape photography.  We have seen some of his amazing work and can't wait to see what scenes he captures next!

Q

How did you discover your love for photography?

A

I have always had a huge love for the outdoors, but it wasn’t until I got into landscape photography about 8 years ago that I got totally hooked on it. I could easily sit at a viewpoint for hours watching the light change, just waiting for that perfect moment. In Northern Ireland we can experience all four seasons in one day and having a Crua Duo gives me a great refuge from the elements, whilst waiting for the perfect conditions to capture my images.

Q

What’s the best place you’ve ever photographed?

A

The Giants Causeway is basically an advertisement logo for Northern Ireland. The rugged interface between hexagonal rocks and crashing waves attracts over a million tourists per year, and its not without reason as it is a truly stunning place. A couple of hundred meters above the giants causeway is the causeway coastal path, a clifftop path that runs dangerously close the cliff edges for miles. Along this path there are some of the best photo opportunities , a must see for any visitor!

Q

If you could go camping or shoot photos with anyone in the world (dead or alive), who would it be and why?

A

My girlfriend loves going on adventures with me. There is something great about being able to disconnect from the rest of the world and explore the great outdoors with the one you love.

Q

What’s your goal for 2018, photography, camping or other?

A

Northern Ireland has a couple of good mountain ranges which embarrassingly I've never climbed. I'm hoping to take on the Mourne Mountains this summer for some epic photography and possibly some Crua camping too!

Q

What’s your favorite slogan/quote ?

A

There are no problems, only solutions!
