Family life is BUSY! Escaping to the wilderness is a great outlet for anyone looking to tune out, but picking those spots can be a chore. Packing a bag can seem like a never ending task and convincing the kids that “this will be the best ever, makes you seem like something from a 60’s TV show!”. Yep, we have all been there.

We have this expression, camping on your own terms. To us, this is when you camp when you want, where you want and in total comfort. Our days are spent thinking of how we can make our designs better for you. Having the right gear is half the job but like we mentioned, picking a spot can be tricky.

So to make life easier, we have put together a list of some of the spots we have enjoyed over the last few years. If you have spots you want to share with us, let us know. We have just started this great affiliate programme where we work with you to figure out the ultimate camping guide/gear and knowledge sharing. Sign up today and say hi to Courteney on our team who will help you through the process.

Ten of these are state Champion trees and two are National Champion Trees, so, make sure to spot these when you are out and about. There are 49 camping spots located throughout the park which are fully equipped with a table, grill, electrical and water hookups, helping you to pack light!

Wallowa Lake State Park, Oregon: Located between a scenic glacial lake, and the Wallowa Mountains, Wallowa Lake State Park is the perfect spot for families who enjoy hiking in the wilderness and watersport activities. The 209 campsites are open year round, but there is a much higher demand during the summer months, so keep an eye out and don’t forget to book your spot in advance. When visiting this state park, make sure to enjoy the stunning views as you hike the Wallowa Lake Trail, and try out the go-karts, arcade games and ping pong at the Wallowa Lake Karts. The lake has a beach, spots for fishing and picnic tables, and the Wallowa Lake Marina, which is open seasonally, offers kayaks and motorboats for rental. Sounds like an ideal vacation, doesn't it?

Devils Garden Campground, Utah: This campground has 51 campsites that are available for reservation, and is the perfect place for stargazing on a warm summer night. Arches National Park has the highest concentration of natural arches in the world. There are 2,500 towering rock formations, and seeing them is a bucket list item for many. There are also an abundant amount of scenic hiking trails, some which are harder than others. Lake Siskiyou Resort and Camp, California: This family campsite is located on one of the prettiest lakes in California and has superb panoramic views of Mt Shasta and the Shasta Trinity National Forest. The lake is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing, allowing you to sit back and relax in the great outdoors. Boat rentals are available, and a speed limit is enforced, keeping the lake pristine and quiet for all to enjoy. If you are looking for a Fourth of July trip, then this is the perfect spot. The City of Mount Shasta actually holds fireworks which you can watch from the lakeside.

Which tents are best for camping?

Crua’s ‘Mór’ (pronounced 'More') Series, are bigger tents which are the perfect choice for larger groups and longer stays. The tents are secure, breathable, and noise dampening, helping you to have a great night sleep, where you are cut off from nature’s elements. Also, our Crua Culla Family is an inner “cocoon”, which is made with you and your family in mind. The Culla Family sleeps 5 people comfortably and is the ideal inner tent to keep you and your family at the perfect temperature. The insulation has the added benefit of dampening the outside sounds and blocking out the light so the entire family can sleep easily.
